Hazard Details
|
Common applications |
Class 1 |
Based on current medical knowledge, it is considered safe. Under no circumstances are the eyes exposed to harmful light radiation, and even if the product contains harmful lasers, the harmful radiation will not penetrate the housing if it is placed in a corresponding sealed product.
|
Ophthalmic Laser Curvature Meter, DVD Player |
Class 1M |
Large diameter or highly divergent beams. There is no danger in normal use, but there is a danger of exceeding Class 1 limits when using optical equipment such as telescopes.
|
Low Power Fiber Communication Lasers |
Class 2 |
Low power, visible lasers (400-700nm) are low risk lasers. Usually, the human eye's natural aversion response (Aversion response) protects the human eye, and only intentional continued staring will cause damage to the eye.
|
Laser Scanner, Laser Pointer |
Class 2M |
Low power, visible lasers (400-700nm), large diameter or highly divergent beams, pass Class 2 under normal use, and exceed Class 2 when using optical equipment such as telescopes
|
Laser level instrument |
Class 3R |
There's no harm in normal use, and there's no harm in looking directly at the beam.
|
Laser rangefinder |
Class 3B |
Looking directly or seeing secondary beams can cause injury, scattered beams are harmless.
|
Demonstration Laser |
Class 4 |
Direct, reflected or scattered beams can cause eye or skin damage.
